Watercolor and ink.

This began as a pencil sketch 2 years back, just a month before the pandemic and out on the town. Finished today, quietly, in my sketch garden, as a watercolor with ink accents. Time is spice.

This giant fan palm in Boca Raton Florida was the inspiration for this sketch, with storm clouds via Tropical Storm Fred growing in the background. Watercolor wash followed by ink sketch.

While touring Havana we were mesmerized by the local fisherman jockeying for position along the Malecon as swarms of fish drew their attention and hooks. Ink sketch and watercolor.

A photo of a rural church in Calascio Italy – inspired an interpretation in watercolor and ink.

Cut
flowers
detailed in ink
grew into
a St. Paddy’s day
bouquet
washed in
watercolor.

A long draw
of fresh
coffee
awakens
gently,
a deep inhale,
infuses calm, and
eyes
close,
softly,
for a moment
as senses fill,
smiling,
the blank
canvas
of a new
day begins.
