Bird – Rogue Lines

Song bird

This mixed media
began with
delicate ink markings
and then
transformed by
watercolors,
aiming to honor
the
song birds
and the
coming of
spring.

Four inches of snow,
and the birds
are hungry,
making a perch
at the feeders
standing room
only.

Lines and lines,
of stitchery,
form these two
hummingbirds,
and their
tasty
flowers

The male cardinal,
feeds,
then feeds his mate,
and she in turn,
does the same,
as they should,
they are mates,
for life.
