Time is spice

This began as a pencil sketch 2 years back, just a month before the pandemic and out on the town. Finished today, quietly, in my sketch garden, as a watercolor with ink accents. Time is spice.

Tulip Two Lips
This tulip
grew from
a powerful
seedling
with muscular
branches,
and hand-like
leaves,
and then
she looked at me
and laughed,
for she had
grown two lips
and she sang and
smiled. -

Sweet Angie
Sweet Angie,
a beautiful lady,
sat next to me,
ringing in the
New Year,
and it is the
simple sweetness,
in her eyes,
in her heart,
that I hoped
to capture. -

Orchid speaking
These orchids,
on display,
bloomed,
again,
this time on paper,
from a single line,
then more,
and finished
